The 10 Most Underrated Bands of All Time

When it comes to music, we have to consider the source, the band of drooling “mates” whom made it to begin with. Of course, the composition of a song is important, but putting a band of lackeys together is tough work that can be difficult. The tireless grind seems to last forever, and making it to the top can be a challenge by itself. However, in spite of the trials and tribulations that come with forming a musical group, you can raise yourself to the top — the best place to be for most folks. In fact, it’s like a totem pole that seems like it’s so far away; however, there’s a heartbeat with magical blasts of instrumental mysticism and energy. This inspiration can leave others feeling egotistical and grandiose, but unfortunately, many bands never seem to reach this point. Regardless, these are the 10 most underrated bands of all time … .

There are only a few bands that are famous that actually deserve to be famous, and just about every unknown band deserves to be unknown. Think about that one! However, do not get it in your mind that everyone sucks, because that’s not true. Everyone has something to offer, but swamping the internet with endless covers, tributes, and half-assed written originals is going to do no one any good whatsoever. However, keep giving it a go, and you may make it on this list as well!

The 10 Most Underrated Bands of All Time

1. Nickelback

If we’re to talk about bands that are horrendously over … underrated, then we have to mention the band called Nickelback. Yeah, but who are they? Well, they’re a Canadian rock band, which is the best kind of band. Although, with all honesty, they are obviously loved by a massive mound of people; however, at the same time, they struggle to gain worldwide success — a group of hardcore fans. Everyone in America loves them, especially those Canadians, but for some reason, those pesky Europeans cannot be bothered to listen. “‘Why is this?” you ask. Well, it boils down to if they’d rather listen to Scorpions or some band that’s not from their arbitrary continent. In fact, they have plenty of great songs, with hits such as … . Regardless, you should understand where I am coming from with this so-called “great” band.

2. Creed

When it comes to bands who really didn’t raise themselves to the level of Christ, then we have to discuss a band by the name of Creed. Of course, they were revered during the late-90s post-grunge phase, but not everyone got down with Christ and his disciples. They even struggled to convince every one of their fans of their shrewd and atheistic lifestyles, but they stuck the landing like a nail through Jesus’ hand. Although, in spite of this, everyone came to mass for the good old gospel of truth, and hearing those words from a measly group of rockstars served them justice. In fact, they may even strike you to the core with the lord’s anthem because of their secular motivations. Regardless, despite the drugs and rock ‘n’ roll music, they saw themselves as the new saviors of a modern “cultist” society.

3. Stone Temple Pilots

Other than considering the ether of bowing to a god a reasonable and/or fashionable thing to do, we have to consider another alternative rock & grungy band. However, when you talk about grunge music, you always have to consider the cryptic mysticism behind the lyrics that are written by Stone Temple Pilots. Although, strangely enough, the Stoned Temple Pilots would have a better ring to it, but this is an entirely different story! Of course, they were met with abysmal success behind the litany of grunge bands during that period, including Green River, obviously. And with this came the problem that plaque (*plagued) them, which happened to be their style. Yes, their style, and it included changing it too much, singing without having much purpose, and spiking their hair far too much for grunge music.

4. Bush

Some bands are underrated even if they have a large audience, and other bands are overrated even when it means that they’re audience is nothing more than weeds. Of course, we could be alluding to Bush, but who needs to know about them. Yes, they’re another wannabe grunge band, but they could’ve been better, right? Wrong! They struggled, and they especially struggled with long-term success because of their self-aggrandizing love music. Regardless, we can also take a look through the bush to understand how some bands, whom shouldn’t have a fanbase whatsoever, got there. The pubic region of Narnia is pleasured poorly with piss and the golden showers of rain seem nigh endless. Afterall, we’re not simply trying to make really bad bands look good, but this is also not just another fresh perspective.

5. Limp Bizkit

While Bush was wowing their underwhelming audiences with another underappreciated, English-sounding love song, we arrive at another travesty — this surprise is Limp Bizkit. Although, what were they doing? Nothing, so why not go off on a sparse and needless tangent. Here, I’m starting this off: Not every single musician has to be a band, and not every band on this list has to have more than one person. We could always and obviously include acts that include a backup band or simply a star with a stage name. This could include something like Korn, Spinal Tap, or even the likes of Ace of Base too, but why bother going over these redundancies. Then again, we did have Hootie and the Blowfish; however, this would only make my list almost the exact same as the Rolling Stone magazine article .. which is dumb.

6. The Spin Doctors

A lot of bands tend to have egos, even though they struggle with entering the big leagues. There are no sources (2) list, but it doesn’t mean that I need to validate this statement. “What is this statement?” you ask. Well, this statement is about The Spin Doctors and how they never got the success they deserved. However, did they have success? Yes, but their success was short-lived, and we’re all the better for it. Of course, we’re not just taking a look at some of the worst or best bands whom did or didn’t get the attention they deserved. Are the Goo Goo Dolls included in this diorama as well? Well, maybe, but they are not worthy of consideration, even if they’re another nobody’s band. Yeah, but what about The Monkees? No, they’re not worth mentioning either, especially since they even less success.

7. Hanson

If you’d rather drink by yourself, then considering a listen to the next big boyband of the decade (or century)! Of course, we always have to consider that, even without talent, there’s room to be “underrated” and suitably hated and/or castrated. With this in mind, we must again turn our head to the 90s, and without the help of Jefferson Starship, nee Airplane. Then again, we had other stellar acts to consider as well, i.e., New Kids on the “Block,” NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, The Jonas Brothers, and One Direction. However, they subverted expectations, and a lack of reasonable success can undermine a subgenre. Also, modern tastes and the success of one band can create a rift that makes it difficult to succeed within the endless sea of shite. Although, at least we have the 90s to thank for this new boyband fetish.

New kids are on the block, but are they actually on something else? Well, we can certainly say that they are on the chopping block, and nothing will be able to fully cook this one for good.

8. Dilarian

Well, no one knows who or what this band is, but it doesn’t mean that it’s not important. In fact, it may just be the most renowned band in the world, right? At least the potential may be there, and we can obviously just make anything up. However, who’s to say that it’s not a group of legend, just like every other band that hasn’t hit stardom! Unfortunately, it may have never existed, at least without the drive to make music better. Furthermore, to send a message for the betterment of something called mankind or the lack there of is important. We also never know if a band is underrated until we hear them for ourselves. Of course, but are they AMAZING? Well, they certainly are, but they are also one of the worst bands around. They aren’t worse than the Dave Matthews Band, but they are damn close.

9. The Beatles

Everyone’s (possibly) heard of the Beatles, but the only reason why this is the case is because of everyone not really caring about them. In fact, they’re kind of like your Nickelback, but this is only the case if Nickelback weren’t a good band. You get it, right? Well, of course you do! (At least they didn’t get stomped out like a bug, right?) If you didn’t understand though, then there may be a case of bad taste and resentment going around the endless crowds of people. Unfortunately, there are bands where the endless sea of elaborate perms may have overlooked some of the meaning of the music — if there even was any — and decided to find allure in boyband fanaticism. You see, not only did the act die down after 10 years, but the group decided that a woman needed to eviscerate the entire creative process.

10. Nirvana

In spite of their mediocre success, Nirvana displayed an ability to show that even the best band can be underrated. Of course, many of their songs were simply the same redundant thing over and over again, but they were loved by millions of screaming grunge rockers. The fans that brushed this ever-growing flame didn’t mind this, and the repetition served it’s purpose well with melodic tunes and poignant rhythms. Although, having success doesn’t mean that you’re not underrated. It also doesn’t mean that you should not take note of late 80s and early 90s as a time of great change; cruddy glam rock and pop was being overshadowed. Unfortunately, it didn’t last long, and as with many other bands, they were swept away to the stores of nostalgia. And, in the end, it led to what we can hate the most.

Ending

As you can see, there are a lot of bands that are under the radar that probably deserve more attention. However, at the same time, we have to consider how success is a double-edged sword. Not only is being famous a challenge, but it brings with it way too much drugs and promiscuous sex. With some patience, we can all achieve it, but there are still ways to be satisfied with yourself anyway. Of course, there’s also the story of the steaming pile of crust that happens to be modern music. Although, if we take a look at it, plenty of bands that do not blow up with endless success are also cruddy. It didn’t matter, as we all saw crappy bands in the past as well, but there are just more things to hate nowadays. The music industry is struggling; however, there is also reason to understand that it’s bustling.

Honorable Mentions

Well, essentially, there are too many bands to consider for this list, but then again, the list is not that long if you think about it. Of course, it’s entirely up to you as well to make up your mind about what musical failures deserve to be on this great list. Just be sure to not take that last statement the wrong way, as everyone deserves some credit (especially when they’re willing to play in front of an audience)! Afterall, it’s never that easy to make it big without screwing the pooch at least once in the process.
