The 10 Remarkable Ways That Life is Unfair
Is it fair when you’re holding the scale?

At this point, everyone understands that life is NOT fair. Deserve obviously has nothing to do with it, and rationality is often thrown out the window for the most frivolous of reasons! Furthermore, everyone around you might think that you’re the obvious unfair one, making the process all the more … complicated. (It doesn’t take other people to make life unfair because it works extremely “unfair” to begin with.) It’s also all the more reason to look at the balance scale so that you can “try” even them out to some degree … . Now, in spite of this overwhelming conundrum, the simplicity of unfairness is fairly easy to understand. (There’s no “real” solution to end all unfairness, and it’s part of what gives meaning to people’s lives.) Of course, we needn’t look at it this way either, but it’s something to notice. And it’s often there to make it exceedingly obvious to us. Now, in spite of this, there is only so much that we can to overcome or outthink it; however, we can try! These are the 10 remarkable ways that life is unfair to us all.

We can allow our visions of perceived unfairness bother us, or we can try to do something about it. And it’s never simply about us or our perceptions, because it’s also about other people and the truth. In the end, we may even be able to find some satisfaction in making someone else’s life better if we’re capable.

The 10 Remarkable Ways That Life is Unfair

1. Family

Life is unfair to all of us; however, this doesn’t necessarily “cancel out” (or negate) the fact (& truth) that some unfairness happens to some people a lot more than it happens to others. And, to put it quite plainly, some people have a far more decent “family” and/or upbringing than other people. (There’s also a lot room to believe that some people can benefit from this kind of unfairness, but it’s shouldn’t always be required to begin with.) In fact, a lot of unfairness is fed upon by those of us who happen to “receive” more “luck” than others. It doesn’t matter if it’s socioeconomic status or country of origin, because we can all agree that any difference is obvious. Of course, we can attempt to “mitigate” this by sharing, improving, and caring; however, this very likely requires an unfairness to begin with. Although, to make this even worse, some people receive this treatment far, far, far more than others. (Fairness is a fickle business, and it can be looked at in a vacuum, too.) Everyone is to blame, but we’re also victims of games!

2. Successfulness

As mentioned above, it doesn’t necessarily take other people to make your life more difficult or easy. They’re also not required to give you a relative understanding of what unfairness can create. Unfortunately, there’s simply not too much that we can do to outrun the scary darkness of this lude and obnoxiously crude subject matter. And, to anyone’s ‘benefit’ or not, unfairness is still unfair; it really doesn’t make much of a difference if we’re growing our “character” or not in the process. (It’s a nice side effect though, and that counts for something, right?) In fact, it’s really just a matter of the overall maximization of someone’s adversity through their experiences of “TRIAL & TRIBULATION.” Although, not everyone will actually represent this enlightened byproduct! (People can feel unfairness, even if they’re fine.) Now, in spite of this “colloquial menagerie,” we can understand that someone who suffers more is less likely to be successful, at least in a good way. This also means that they’re not experiencing “fairness”!

3. Friends

To put it all quite plainly, some people aggressively believe that life is “fair,” and other people simply lack the perspective to understand when someone’s life is more unfair. (Perspective makes a very distinct difference when it comes to fairness and the actions that can follow; it also takes group effort.) Unfortunately, those of us who happen to believe this also tend to be the kind of people who haven’t dealt with any kind of radical unfairness. (Yes, people can go through their life without learning these facts about our reality.) It’s not fair to them to not understand, but we can see it this way as well. And, to top it all off, unfairness feeds off of the unfairness that is and was there to begin with. (Some people have a better understanding of these concepts, so who else would be better to make a difference!) We’re all blind to it to some degree, but it also depends on who we have around. Yes! A support group is important, but it’s also about the fairness that your peers give and receive. And you’re lucky to have them.

4. Income (Money)

The subject of unfairness can be as deep or shallow as you want it to be — it’s usually a “relevant” subject. (Again, this subjectively depends on a person’s situation [e.g., income and life experiences], but it’s objectively important.) Although, while you’re happily munching away at your crackerjacks and leaving a precariously large blood footprint, other people become the unfortunate victims. And, if your life is without water, food, or money, then everything else will likely make your life more challenging. Additionally, if your life is more difficult, then it probably means that you’re dealing with some kind of unfair hand. (Nothing is “perfect, but a glib attitude never helps.) Of course, unfairness can be made up for, but there’s only so much that we can do to about it. Unfortunately, the best that we can often do is make as much of a difference as we can, and this may even become seen as unfairness or unworthy. Thankfully, we can see unfairness in a vacuum, it and often makes some unfairness seem rather ridiculous.

5. Physical Adversity

The victim mentality creates a lot of intricate problems in the unfairness game, but it’s simply a part of the conscious (or sentient) quandary that is here from the start. After all, “someone” can do “something” great because of their adversity, but it doesn’t mean that they’re blameless or evading the truth of unfairness. (Not everything is justifiable or righteous because someone dealt with an unfair hand.) Despite this, it’s simply too much of a difficult subject to avoid all together. (You can spend your entire life working on winning a gold medal, but you lose the match because of a sprung ankle.) Regardless, unfairness is the same no matter who, what, and where; however, the specifics of your little situation give certain insight into how much you’re actually putting up with. (It can range from a disease to a broken bone.) There’s also this issue with who’s causing the unfairness, and it really depends on the ‘context.’ But, just to be loquacious, life is unfair to us all; however, unfairness can also be caused by someone else, too!!

6. Mental Health

To whomever it may concern, the truth can be as “good” or “bad” as you want it to be, OR it can really be something that you work on to help fix or appreciate it. We’ve even got mental illness (or disorders) that give life the opportunity to teach lessons that it shouldn’t have to teach. Thankfully, some people are aware of the problems that other people deal with; however, they’ll still insist on undermining the problems for their own gain. (People tend to “help” by telling someone else to ‘GET OVER IT.’) Although it seems rather rude, this is as good as most people can do! And it’s not entirely because they are “woefully” incompetent. In the end, how you deal with problems is just as important as the external hardship that you deal with. If anything, its end result is more important, as your mental sanity is crucial to dealing with the problems around you. However, if you’re not dealing with it, then you may not see your mind as too much of an important component. Although, you should also be wary of its importance!

7. Knowledge

The concept of unfairness is fairly easy to understand; however, some people tend to have a lot of trouble understanding all of the implications of it. (The acquisition of knowledge is another form of unfairness as well.) Unfortunately, this reaction can be a response of defensiveness or unmitigated ignorance. Everyone’s actions speak louder than their words, and strictly trying to outthink it will serve you nothing in return. Of course, even though we can not find ways to be truly “fair,” we can partake in the actions that will make things more fair! It’s just too bad that people want something different, but your knowledge and be a crucial part of this, too. Although, to make matters even worse, people tend to feel jealousy, rage, or even sadness when they think that they’re being treated unfairly. This, in turn, can create a situation that stirs up the pot until it creates more and more unfairness. When you’re dumb, you can experience/cause unfairness. And feeling like you’re too stupid to understand it can make this even worse.

8. Perspective/Philosophy

Fairness “typically” comes in various, imaginative scruples and/or shades of gray, but it doesn’t mean that we can’t understand it. (Unfairness is, generally speaking, a ‘black or white’ subject matter.) We can also see who’s dealing with more and why certain things happen a certain way … never good. (Unfairness begets more unfairness, but does it ever equal out between parties.) It can obviously depend on how you address the subject; but what else can anyone do! People tend to also think that fairness tends to rebound; however, it’s not that simple when there are so many moving parts. And it’s not really about how long you deal with an unfairness; however, it’s also about how harsh it is. A ‘mention’ of ethics is also an interesting matter, because it’s always relegated to ‘being selfish and doing the right thing’ or ‘being kind and doing it for yourself.’ If we weren’t here, then we wouldn’t have to deal with unfairness outcomes, but our belief systems and behavioral philosophies tend to make this less ‘concurrent,’ mostly!

9. Law

Even though unfairness is a “conceptualization,” it’s still something that TRULY EXISTS in reality, and we’ve even given it a definition. We can obviously make our own fairness, but it’s also not just about us. Fairness is generally beyond our control, but this lack of “control” can go even deeper. Again, there are consequences to our actions, and some punishments are “justifiable” in spite of what someone else may be dealing with. (Hell, we can even be somewhat unfair to ourselves!) Although, who we’re around can also make it seem as though we’re being unfair or dealing out more so-called unfairness. Of course, some unfairness is worse than others, and having the right people around can make this more or less understood. Additionally, many things are not ‘necessarily’ unfair! And if we know better, then we should be able to fix it. If you know about it, then you should do something about it. However, we can only do so much before we exacerbate it. Corruption in law comes to mind, and money often makes the people lose!

10. Work & Education

No one is placating the ideas of communism here, but it was certainly an ideal that was seen as a solution to some unfairness. (Capitalists think in the same way … .) Unfortunately, the same can not be expertly stated for work, lifestyle, intelligence, and education. Now, the idea of pervasive socialism didn’t necessarily fix a lot, but it was giving it the ‘old college try.’ It created other unfairness, especially to those who were underutilized. However, this was seen as progress to some, as at least it mitigated some suffering on the lower end. “Yeah, but what does this mean?” one might ask. Well, it means that a**holes can utilize anything to their favor. How we view fairness is often related to how we view things and how we’re being treated; it’s irresponsible. And the truth is — for the most part — bad! Unfortunately, you have to be smart enough to educate yourself! (They feel as though their life is more fair.) If someone hasn’t dealt with a particular problem or certain amount of adversity, then they may come off as unappreciative!!

Ending

Unfairness, at least for the most part, is one giant mess, and it’s completely unfair in just about every way that’s humanly imaginable. (We all can learn to deal with unfairness, of course.) Yes, if we have it easy or have learned to accept lower standards, then it all may not ‘always’ seem this way quite as much. Although, in the end, the only thing that we can and should do is try to mitigate unfairness as much as feasibly possible. Of course, at this point, it might be okay to share some unfairness with them. Just because you are happy and satisfied does not mean that you can not recognize that others have different experiences and standards. The idea is to be fair within certain bounds without taking it too far! If everyone has to work for it, then so be it, right? Again, the wise man once said, “If you don’t want it done to you, then make fairness easy for everyone by not doing it to others.” Even if you’re dealing with unfairness, make sure that you hold yourself accountable enough. Now, is it unfair? Sure, but it is better!

Some people have a lot more talent; however, is that more unfair. Also, if someone has more to offer but wasn’t offered a chance to show it, is this unfair? Well, that certainly depends! It’s simply one of the many ways that life displays to you that you do not matter to it! It’s up to you to do something about it!
