(What You Need for a Pandemic)

The theme lately has been safety and precaution towards falling down and sick with an illness. Social distancing is in, and people are making it all the rave as time keeps turning. People are dying, and it seems to be getting worse day by day as their millennial vibe seems to struggle. While much of this is true, you still have your essentials that can surely protect you. Please, consult with a doctor before taking any of my advice, because all doctors know everything. I’m going to list below 5 essentials to have for a virus lockdown or any stay at home order. Here is what you need for a pandemic.

A real roll of toilet paper to the toilet gods of toiletry is partaken daily.

Toilet Paper Is an Essential to Have for a Virus Lockdown (What You Need for a Pandemic)

Apparently toilet paper is all the new hype now a days, and it’s literally sweeping the world. If you’re looking for it, chances are you’re probably not going to find it. If you’re not one of the penny pinching, price gouging hoarders taking it to resell at a higher price, pat yourself on the back. You’re not partly to blame here then, because you’re probably not a horrible person.

I am Cornholio! I need TP for my bunghole!

Toilet paper, while not necessarily a necessity, has it’s use or uses. It’s the function of the idea of toilet paper that makes it get on this list, but you can also use paper towels. Any kind of cloth to get the job done is the point, and other folks seem to not think so, so blame the people for this one. Have fun and good luck wrapping your toilet paper around this. Now go get some TP for your bungholes, mates.

Masks and Gloves Are Great Essentials to Have for a Virus Lockdown

If you’re going to risk going out into the fallout zone, please, be sure to take some proper caution in doing so. You can’t be breathing in those zombie toxins, only to spread it to others while asymptomatic. Surgical and N95 masks are all the hype too now a days, and it ain’t going away any time soon. Like toilet paper, any kind of mask will do, and you can even make one at home. Typically it involves anything that can be wrapped around a face, but recommended is a thick cloth to keep you safe. The next is gloves, because the disease does stick to surfaces. If you go out wear gloves, because you’re not going to want to be touching what someone else had touched.

No, I’m not speaking of Rocky Dennis or the Jim Carrey character.

You have to be careful, because the incubation period of Covid-19 can last anywhere from 5 days to 2 weeks. This is longer than the seasonal flu or influenza by about double, so watch out. This has to be considered because the stronger your immune system, the longer the incubation period. This is of course in layman’s terms because the issue is obviously more complex. If you get sick, you could also be lacking symptoms period. Considering all folks are essentially asymptomatic before they actually become sick, be sure to understand this. Be sure to avoid contact as to not contract this deadly disease.

Soap and Hand Sanitizer Are Necessary Essentials For a Virus Lockdown

If you have to go out, take a bottle of hand sanitizer with you. That’s if you’re lucky enough to have sanitizer to begin with. If you don’t have any, try to get some, but don’t try too hard. Also, don’t spend more that a few bucks on a bottle. People are stocking up so that they don’t need to go out again and get more later. Some people don’t understand that it’s rude and selfish to take the last item, and some some just don’t care if they hoard. People may question the reasons people are driven by mass hysteria, but it depends.

After we make love, I’ll make sure to squirt some sanitizer on you for fun, cool?

Hand soap (or any kind for that matter) is also very important, albeit a little easier to get. Although the CDC and World Health Organization recommend washing hands over sanitizer. Sanitizer is simply there for convenience sake in situations when soap and water isn’t readily available.

Keep your hands clean and away from the soft drinks. Also, cool tip: Taking a cold shower or bath helps boost your immune system.

It’s recommended you scrub those hands for at least 20 seconds after touching anything. This applies to those mostly going out, and to not touch your face in the meantime until your hands are washed. If you don’t have a sink, water or soap nearby because you’re at the store, have sanitizer on hand. You’re going to want to have something to have after a visit, even if you’re wearing gloves. It’s preferable to use warm water when washing, but any clean water will do. Also, if you don’t follow these strict guidelines, you are certainly putting yourself and others at increased risk. Be safe, considerate, and pass the remote after you sanitize your hands, at least.

Food & Vitamins (What You Need for a Pandemic)

Where would we be if we didn’t have food you ask? We’d all probably be hungry or dead. Oh, what about that Powerade or water you drink daily to replenish your electrolytes and quench your thirst, huh? Yeah, exactly, you need these things to survive, and since we’re social creatures, we’ll die to get them. Okay? Don’t go out without protection! I repeat, don’t go out without protection! Pretty plain and simple, and I don’t mean to be facetious, but I know all of you are already smart enough to understand sarcasm. Regardless, eating healthy is just as important as having food, so keep up on nutrition as well.

Raggy, I reary, reary want a rooby rack! Rut? I ridn’t ray rat! Rut’s wrong rid ru, Raggy? Rerrout? ROooo!!!

Taking a daily vitamin can help restock your daily needs for such vitamins like vitamin C, D and E, Iron, Magnesium and Selenium that can help with immune function. Also, considering many of us are at home and not out there having to work to whatever degree, we should consider others. There are folks out there right now who are risking their lives in hospitals and grocery stores to make sure they don’t lose their jobs. Oh, yes, and so we have something to eat, but mostly because the system is screwed up. See, there are some useful facts here, not just me telling you what you should already know, right?

Activities/Internet (What You Need for a Pandemic)

Hey, how else are we going to stay sane unless we decide to hang out at grocery stores and hang out in the park. Keeping busy and mental health is also of grave importance here. People are losing their minds not being able to continue their daily activities. If they are, they’re probably working through all of this because they have to. Other than that, it’s not a big deal, but cabin fever is real, and people will become stir crazy if they’re stuck in all day. If you can’t go out, no big deal, but if you can’t go out, work or anything else, then it gets old fast. Remember, option but not obligation is what helps people believe they have agency in their life. What an interesting notion.

I don’t own an agency, what’re you talkin’ bout, fool?

People can’t work, afford rent, they may lose their jobs and so on. This can cause a lot of stress for just about anyone. You don’t want to be bouncing off in your own head thinking about any of these things. If this doesn’t matter to you, then I don’t think staying sane is your primary problem. Keeping yourself busy is vital to a FUNctioning existence during the apocalypse. Going for a walk, meditation, exercise, and maybe even eating too much broccoli are good coping mechanisms.

Well, if it doesn’t just spell it right out.

See, now that wasn’t so hard, now was it? Keep it going, and you’ll be safe soon enough. Irrespective of this, please, be safe. Don’t go out unless you have to, and if you have to, make sure to wear a mask and gloves. Beyond all of this, make sure to go out and have fun, but don’t take my word for it!
